Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to manage MRP requirements, supplier forecasts, and delivery coordination to ensure material availability for production. The role requires SAP ERP experience, 1–2 years in purchasing or material planning, and strong communication with suppliers and internal teams to optimise stock levels and maintain data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Around 1–2 years of relevant experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Material Planning, Supply Planning or Buyer functions is preferred.
• Prior exposure to an electronics, mechanical, biotechnology, microelectronics or similar manufacturing environment will be advantageous.
• Hands-on knowledge of SAP ERP is required.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills when working with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute MRP requirements, supply forecasts and exception reports to suppliers to ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor supplier delivery commitments and ensure materials are supplied according to production requirements.
• Expedite deliveries and resolve material shortages with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Manage quality notifications, change requests, supplier returns, goods receipt and invoice discrepancies.
• Coordinate closely with suppliers, Production, Planning, Quality and other internal teams on material supply matters.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier and material data within SAP ERP.
• Monitor inventory levels and support initiatives to optimise inventory while minimising excess stock.
• Ensure purchasing and planning activities comply with established procedures and requirements.
• Support other supply assurance, purchasing and material planning activities as required.
