Job summary

• Minimum 3 years of relevant purchasing and planning experience, preferably with electronics or mechanical components.
• Manufacturing environment experience is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; SAP ERP familiarity is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review MRP requirements, forecasts, and exception reports and communicate supply requirements and expected delivery schedules to suppliers.
• Track open purchase orders and supplier commitments, following up and expediting deliveries to minimise shortages.
• Coordinate with production, planning, quality, procurement and other teams to maintain material availability.
• Identify opportunities for stock optimisation while avoiding excessive inventory levels.
• Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, and invoicing.

Keep Manufacturing Moving Through Effective Supply Planning

Are you experienced inpurchasing, material planning, supplier coordination, and inventory management? Join a manufacturing environment where your ability to manage material availability and supplier commitments will play an important role in supporting uninterrupted production.

We are looking for aProcurement & Materials Specialistto oversee material supply requirements, coordinate closely with suppliers, and take proactive action when delivery or supply issues arise. You will work across procurement, planning, production, and quality functions to ensure materials are available when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Review MRP requirements, forecasts, and exception reports and communicate supply requirements and expected delivery schedules to suppliers.

• Track open purchase orders and supplier commitments, following up and expediting deliveries where necessary to minimise the risk of material shortages.

• Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to address quality notifications, engineering changes, supplier returns, goods receipt discrepancies, and invoice-related issues.

• Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, and supply-chain information in relevant systems and ensure data is managed according to established processes.

• Review inventory positions and material requirements to identify opportunities for stock optimisation while avoiding excessive inventory levels.

• Coordinate with production, planning, quality, procurement, and other relevant teams to maintain consistent and timely material availability.

• Monitor potential supply risks and escalation material constraints or delivery concerns to the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.

• Support day-to-day purchasing and supply planning activities to ensure production requirements are met efficiently.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree inSupply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum3 years of relevant purchasing and planning experience, preferably involving electronic and mechanical components or assemblies.

• Previous experience working within amanufacturing environment.

• Proficient inMicrosoft Office, particularly Excel, for supply tracking and analysis.

• Familiarity withSAP ERPwould be advantageous.

• Strong supplier coordination, communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to manage multiple priorities and respond proactively to supply or delivery issues.

• Relevant experience withinmanufacturing, electronics, engineering, medical technology, biotechnology, or other technical industries will be considered.
