Job summary

Geolutions Pte Ltd is a Singapore geotechnical specialist seeking a hands-on Procurement Specialist who will manage end-to-end purchasing for site operations. You will report to the Director as the company’s sole procurement person, coordinating with site teams, the store, Finance and Directors.

You will source quotations, negotiate terms, monitor stock, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining an approved supplier list and addressing supplier issues.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a relevant field such as supply chain, business, or civil engineering.
• 2–4 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in construction/geotechnical.
• Familiar with construction materials, machinery spares or site consumables.
• Proficient in Excel; accounting knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Personally process all purchase requisitions from quotation, MRF, and PO to delivery follow-up.
• Obtain and compare quotations with a minimum of three quotes from local and overseas suppliers.
• Purchase drilling consumables, rig spares, grout materials, sensors and cables, PPE and site supplies.
• Source equipment rental, transport, lifting services and subcontracted works when needed.
• Prepare approval requests for purchases above your authority limit for Director's approval.
• Maintain the approved supplier list and flag poor performers to the Director.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and lead times, including term contracts for high-use items.
• Identify new local and overseas suppliers to reduce cost and supply risk.
• Resolve delivery, quality and invoice issues with suppliers.
• Monitor stock levels of key consumables and plan reorders based on usage.

About the role

This is a hands-on individual contributor role reporting directly to the Director. As the company's only procurement person, you will run purchasing from requisition to payment, working closely with the site teams, the store, Finance and the Directors. You will not manage a team.

Key responsibilities

• Personally process all purchase requisitions from quotation, MRF and PO to delivery follow-up
• Obtain and compare quotations, with a minimum of three quotes (both local and overseas suppliers) for major items
• Purchase drilling consumables (roller bits, core barrels, casings, drill rods), rig spares, grout materials, instrumentation sensors and cables, PPE and site supplies
• Source equipment rental, transport, lifting services and subcontracted works when needed
• Prepare approval requests for purchases above your authority limit for the Director's approval
• Maintain the approved supplier list and flag poor performers to the Director
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and lead times, including term contracts for high-use items
• Identify new local and overseas suppliers to reduce cost and supply risk

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Civil Engineering or a related field
• 2 to 4 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in construction or geotechnical
• Familiar with construction materials, machinery spares or site consumables
• Self-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable being the point of contact for all suppliers and internal requests
• Good negotiation, communication and follow-up skills
• Organised and detail-oriented, able to handle several urgent requests at once
• Proficient in Excel; experience with accounting is an advantage
• Able to visit the store, yard and project sites when required
