Job summary

Evonik is seeking a process technology professional in Singapore to drive continuous improvement across production. You will lead interdisciplinary teams, develop innovative process concepts and manage experiments in lab and pilot facilities.

A strong background in process technology and chemistry, plus 5+ years in petrochemicals, is expected. Fluency in English and a proactive, collaborative mindset are essential as you contribute to global expert groups and continued development at Evonik

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in process technology, chemical engineering or related sciences.
• 5+ years in petrochemical/specialty chemicals; Jurong Island experience a plus.
• Excellent English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Continuously optimise processes and plan plants in collaboration with production.
• Execute small investment and optimisation projects in Singapore plants.
• Contribute to optimisation of existing production processes as part of development.
• Lead process development projects with interdisciplinary teams.
• Develop innovative process concepts and methods for specialty chemical production.
• Plan, coordinate and execute experiments in lab, pilot plant or production environment.

Responsibilities

• Continuous process technological optimisation, development and planning of processes and plants in close collaboration with production
• Execution of smaller investment & optimisation projects in Evonik’s existing production plants in Singapore
• Contribution in the optimisation of existing production processes as part of continuous process development
• Leading of process development projects with interdisciplinary teams
• Development of innovative process technological concepts and methods for the production of specialty chemicals
• Responsibility for the planning, coordination and execution of experiments in the laboratory, pilot plant or production environment

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor or above degree in the field of process technology, chemical engineering or similar natural sciences
• Ideally over 5 years of experience in the petrochemical/specialty chemical industries. Working experience on Jurong Island is a plus
• Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken
