Job summary

Evonik in Singapore is seeking a Plant Process Engineer to develop and optimize chemical processes, manage P&IDs and related documentation, and lead modifications to improve safety, efficiency, and cost performance. The role requires a degree in Chemical Engineering with 3–5 years of experience and familiarity with local regulations.

You will coordinate small capital projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering with 3–5 years of experience.
• Knowledge of Singapore regulations and experience in process engineering.
• Experience with multinational chemical company with safety/health/environment programs is ideal.
• Energy Manager certification in Singapore would be advantageous.
• English language is a must.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering skills and provide solutions for project, technology transfer, or process control issues.
• Maintain and update PSI-related documentation, including Plant P&IDs, engineering specifications, drawings, relief device calculations, and trips & alarms lists.
• Lead process-related MOC activities and review/approve site and regional MOCs as needed.
• Manage small capital projects, including development, coordination, and execution of work plans.
• Collaborate with management, product technology, and functional teams to identify and implement projects.
• Stay updated on processes, scope changes, and impacts to ensure project success.
• Lead programs to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Identify and implement ideas to optimize costs, improve productivity, and streamline processes.
