Job summary

Givaudan Singapore Pte Ltd seeks a Process Technician for the Pioneer Encapsulation Plant on a 1-year contract in Singapore. You will operate complex production equipment, perform commissioning and qualification activities, and ensure quality compliance under GMP standards.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will handle materials, monitor processes, and contribute to safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• GCE N/O level or equivalent; NITEC or Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields preferred.
• Secondary education with relevant experience in pharma, chemical or manufacturing is acceptable.
• Experience with GMP/compliance and operating production equipment is valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning and qualification activities.
• Operate designated chemical production machines and equipment.
• Read control instruments and maintain accurate records of operations.
• Conduct in-process quality testing and document deviations per SOPs.
• Prepare materials and packaging for next production steps and shipment.

Process Technician (Pioneer Encapsulation Plant, 1 year contract) - Your future position?

Reporting to Production Manager

Location Pioneer, Singapore

Purpose

As a Process Technician, you will work on complex assignments and operate on chemical production equipment and machines, to produce fragrance products of varying complexity in accordance to quality policies to meet desire deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning and qualification activities.

• Independently execute chemical process by operating designated chemical production machines and equipment.

• Select intermediates or raw materials, move and load into production machines.

• Perform in-process quality testing to ensure customer specifications are met. Identify deviations and document/communicate them in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures. Contribute to improvement efforts in designated areas.

• Understand bill of materials or formula specifications, so the proper quantities of materials are added in the proper sequence.

• Manufacture product in a safe manner according to predefined process instructions to meet specific quality standards.

• Read control instruments, prepare neat and accurate records for all operations.

• Perform maintenance on the production equipment.

• Troubleshoot complex problems and provide recommendation for correction.

• Prepare product packaging for next step in production or for final shipment to customer according to department specifications.

• Maintain neat and clean shop floor and workplace and complete all sanitation and housekeeping duties.

• Work following all relevant requirements including but not limited to GMP, OSHA and internal safety guidelines.

• Provide on the job training for new operators and guidance to less experienced employees.

Main Requirements

• Incidental lift objects of 25 kg

• Willing to work in a 3-shift or 12 hours shift system

• GCE “N” or “O” Level or equivalent, NITEC / Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or manufacturing related

• Secondary Level or equivalent with considerable experiences in Pharmaceutical, Chemical or manufacturing related is acceptable

Professional Experience

• 1-2 year of experience in Pharmaceutical, Chemical or manufacturing related

Technical Skills

• Basic Chemistry knowledge

• Experience operating forklift and/or in-house fork truck certification is an added advantage but not a must

• Basic knowledge of cGMP manufacturing processes and cGDP.

• Basic command in English in both Written and Verbal communication skills

• Experience in operating RF devices
