Job summary

Givaudan Singapore is seeking a Junior Lab Technician (Fragrance & Beauty) on a 1-year contract to support sample preparation, evaluation, and wash-test operations in our application and technical labs.

You will manage oil inventory, prepare application samples, and help maintain safety and housekeeping while collaborating with the team to drive quality and continuous improvement. Diploma holders in perfumery or chemistry are encouraged to apply; no color blindness or scent allergies required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Perfumery, Chemistry, Chemical Process Technology or related field.
• No color blindness and no allergy to scent and soap/surfactant products.
• Good safety awareness in Chemistry Lab.

Responsibilities

• Support wash test lab operations and maintain clean test substrates.
• Prepare application samples, market research and stability test samples.
• Manage oil inventory and assist in lab projects for continuous improvement.
• Ensure health and safety policies are followed and maintain good housekeeping.

Junior Lab Technician (Fragrance & Beauty) - Your future position? (1 year contract)

Location: 1 Pioneer Turn

Reports to: Application Lab & Technical Lab Manager

As a Laboratory Technician, you will support the sample preparation process for evaluations and also prepare application samples for the creation of winning perfumes. Additionally, you will support the day-to-day deliverables in wash test lab.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensuring smooth operation of wash test lab, ensuring the test substrates (towels, singlets etc) are properly prepared and washers are clean and free from fragrances.
• Ensuring the oil inventory in our application lab is properly managed.
• Prepare application, market research and stability test samples for neat and in-use evaluation and ensure samples meet quality standards.
• Support the lab management activities to ensure efficient lab operations
• Participate/ lead in lab projects to support continuous improvement.
• Handle equipment to prepare samples or measurements as needed
• Ensure the company's Health and Safety policy is followed
• Ensure good housekeeping
