Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceuticals (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a scientist to perform and lead small-scale laboratory experiments for process development and validation. You will support or lead investigations, data gathering, and the implementation of process improvements in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires hands-on cell culture/upstream or downstream purification experience, cGMP awareness, and strong collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering with minimum 4 years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Hands‑on experience with cell culture/upstream processes and/or downstream purification processes in a manufacturing or development/small scale lab environment.
• Awareness of cGMP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute laboratory experiments for small scale process development and validation, process investigations and improvements.
• Support analytical activities and coordinate with cross functional/global teams for testing support.
• Design and execute lab experiments including cell culture, purification, media and buffer prep.
• Create and review laboratory documentation (procedures, forms, protocols, reports).
• Analyse and summarize results, compile laboratory reports and assist with equipment troubleshooting.
