Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a qualified candidate to support laboratory operations at the Amgen Singapore Manufacturing site. The role involves executing experiments, collaborating with drug substance and process development teams, and documenting findings to enable model qualification and process improvements.

You will assist in data collection, analysis, and the preparation of technical reports, while ensuring GMP-compliant equipment maintenance and readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma required.
• Fields: Chemical engineering, bioprocess engineering, biochemistry, biological sciences.
• Prior internship / relevant experience in a similar capacity.

Responsibilities

• Support laboratory experiments with Drug Substance and Process Development teams for model qualification and process improvement.
• Plan, execute, and document laboratory studies with data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
• Prepare technical reports, scientific documentation, and study summaries.
• Coordinate laboratory purchasing including PO, invoicing, and receipt of materials while maintaining 5S standards.
• Ensure lab readiness through equipment management and preventive maintenance.
• Support the introduction and qualification of new lab equipment ensuring GMP compliance.
• Contribute to new product introductions and process troubleshooting for biologics manufacturing at ASM site.
• Participate in cross-training and provide support for downstream manufacturing operations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of laboratory-based experiments in collaboration with Drug Substance and Process Development teams to enable small-scale model qualification, process investigations, and continuous process improvements.

• Plan, execute, and document laboratory studies, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation, in partnership with process scientists and engineers.

• Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, scientific documentation, and study summaries.

• Perform and/or coordinate laboratory purchasing activities, including purchase orders, invoice processing, and receipt of materials, while maintaining laboratory 5S standards.

• Ensure upstream Process Development laboratory readiness through the management of laboratory equipment, and preventive maintenance programs.

• Support the introduction and qualification of new laboratory equipment while ensuring compliance with phase-appropriate GMP requirements.

• Contribute to new product introductions, process troubleshooting, and the optimization of existing and emerging biologics manufacturing processes at the Amgen Singapore Manufacturing (ASM) site.

• Participate in cross-training initiatives and provide support for downstream manufacturing operations as business needs require.
