Job summary

SSMC in Singapore is recruiting an Associate Engineer to join the Etch department. You will work with engineers to develop, sustain and improve process capability to meet operations goals and support production through shift duties.

The role welcomes new graduates with basic engineering knowledge in semiconductor devices and tooling. You will assist in process qualification, troubleshooting, and maintaining ISO QA documentation to ensure high quality output.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Mechanical/Microelectronics/Chemical Process Technology or equivalent preferred.
• Candidates without experience are welcome to apply.
• Basic engineering knowledge incl. semiconductor devices, electronics, control systems, wafer fabrication.
• Good team player and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain ISO audit system and QA documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers to develop, sustain and improve process capability indices to meet operations goals.
• Perform shift duties to support production and ensure machine process integrity.
• Assist in qualification and fine tuning of production processes.
• Troubleshoot process issues to minimize lot time on hold.
• Create job-files for metrology tools and maintain file housekeeping.
• Monitor and improve qualified processes using SPC and statistics.
• Assist in implementing process improvement projects.
• Maintain audit system for ISO requirements and QA documentation.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs to boost productivity and quality.

We’re searching for an Associate Engineer to be part of our Etch department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on:

• To assist engineers to develop, sustain and improve process capability indices to meet operations goals

• Perform shift duties to support the running of Production in the module and ensure that process integrity for machines is in place for production

• Assist engineers in the qualification and fine tuning of processes for production

• Trouble‑shoot process related issues and minimize the time lots on hold

• Create job-files for metrology tools for production set‑up, and housekeeping of files

• Monitor and improve on the qualified process using SPC and other statistical tools

• Assist in implementing process improvement projects

• Maintain a good audit system for ISO requirements, internal and QA audit on process documentation

• Participate in continuous improvement programs to improve productivity and output quality of the module

More About You:

• Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics/ Mechanical/ Microelectronics/ Chemical Process Technology or equivalent preferred

• Basic engineering knowledge, which may include semiconductor devices theory, electronics, electrical/ pneumatic/ hydraulic control system, digital principle, wafer fabrication processes, pump and vacuum system and electrical wiring system
