Job summary

SSMC is seeking an Etch Process Engineer to join the Etching, Process Eng. I team in our Singapore facility. You will develop and optimize etch processes, work on transfer projects, and drive improvements for yield and efficiency.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering or science and 3+ years in semiconductor manufacturing; fresh graduates are welcome with training. Strong communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering / science or equivalent.
• At least 3 years relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Fresh graduates are welcome with training offered.
• Basic engineering knowledge incl. wafer fabrication processes.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, sustain and optimize process capability to meet goals with quality discipline.
• Lead new process development or transfer initiatives.
• Drive process optimization for yield and productivity gains.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues promptly.
• Maintain and improve CpK and SPC based on data.
• Qualify and release tools for required manufacturing capacity.
• Source alternate sources for cost improvement.
• Plan and execute engineering projects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement via 10k ideas, LSS & BKM.
• Adhere to documentation requirements and record-keeping.

What you will be working on

• To develop, sustain and optimize Process Capability to meet operational goals with quality mindset and discipline in execution.
• Responsible for new Process Development and/or Process Transfer
• Process optimization for Yield and Productivity improvement
• Troubleshoot and resolve Process related issues
• Sustain and/or improve Process Capability, CpK
• Qualify and release tools for required MFG capacity
• Qualify alternate sources for Cost improvement
• Plan and execute Engineering Projects
• Continuous improvement through participation in 10k idea, LSS & BKM to create cost effective and robust processes with quality.
• Setup, monitor and maintain SPC charts
• Adhere and complete necessary documentation
