Job description

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

The Associate / Senior Associate will play an active role across the full private equity investment lifecycle, from evaluating new investment opportunities and executing transactions to working closely with portfolio companies and supporting exit initiatives.

Investment Screening & Due Diligence

• Evaluate prospective private equity investment opportunities, including growth capital, buyouts, and special situations transactions


• Analyze target companies' business models, competitive positioning, financial performance, and industry dynamics


• Conduct financial, commercial, operational, legal, and management due diligence


• Understanding of Southeast Asian (with highest priority for Indonesia) markets, including business dynamics and culture, regulatory frameworks and language

Financial Analysis & Underwriting

• Build and maintain detailed financial models


• Perform valuation analysis and sensitivity testing
  
• Evaluate transaction structures, capital requirements, exit scenarios and potential equity returns


• Understanding of unique business risks faced in markets such as Indonesia

Transaction Execution

• Support senior team members in executing investment transactions


• Coordinate due diligence workstreams


• Assist in preparing investment committee materials and transaction presentations


• Manage data rooms and transaction documentation throughout the execution process

Portfolio Management

• Monitor portfolio company performance against the investment case, budget and agreed value creation plan


• Review portfolio company financial reporting, operating key performance indicators, budgets, forecasts and board materials


• Assist in preparing periodic portfolio reviews and support value creation initiatives, strategic projects, and exit planning

Market Research & Origination

• Monitor private equity activity, sector trends, valuation benchmark and transaction developments


• Support business development and origination initiatives undertaken by the investment team

Investor Reporting & Firm Initiatives

• Assist with fund performance reporting, investor presentations, and fundraising materials


• Contribute to internal research projects, market updates, and portfolio analytics


• Support strategic initiatives and operational projects across the broader firm

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or related disciplines from a reputable university


• Associate applicants: 3 - 5 years of relevant experience


• Senior Associate applicants: 5 - 8 years of relevant experience


• Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint applications


• Organized, meticulous and ability to multi-task


• Strong verbal and written communication skills


• Collaborative team player who can work independently with minimum supervision
