DEEPCLOUD INTERACTIVES PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Private Chef to prepare healthy, high-quality meals for a private household in Singapore.
The ideal candidate will confidently cook Chinese, Western and Japanese cuisine, independently plan menus, manage grocery shopping, control kitchen inventory and minimise food waste while maintaining impeccable hygiene and discretion in a private setting.
We are looking for an experienced, reliable and well-organised Private Chef to prepare healthy, high-quality meals for a private household.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about cooking and confident in Chinese, Western and Japanese cuisine. He/she must also be able to independently plan menus, manage grocery shopping/marketing, control kitchen inventory and minimise food wastage.
Good planning and kitchen management are important for this role. The chef should be able to purchase appropriate quantities based on the family’s meal plans and schedule, rather than over-buying or keeping excessive food stock.
Prepare daily meals, including lunch and dinner, according to the family’s preferences and schedule.
Prepare meals that meet strict wheat-, rye-, barley- and gluten-free dietary requirements.
Plan weekly menus with a good balance of nutrition, variety and taste.
Prepare a good variety of Chinese, Western and Japanese dishes.
Plan grocery requirements based on the weekly menu and actual household needs.
Check the refrigerator, freezer and pantry stock before purchasing groceries.
Purchase fresh, good-quality ingredients in appropriate quantities.
Avoid over-buying, unnecessary bulk purchases and excessive food storage.
Use existing ingredients efficiently and prioritise ingredients that need to be consumed first.
Monitor expiry dates and freshness of food regularly.
Maintain appropriate stock levels without unnecessarily filling the refrigerator, freezer or pantry.
Keep grocery spending and food wastage under control.
Maintain a clean, hygienic and well-organised kitchen.
Prepare meals for guests and small family gatherings when required.
Coordinate and guide domestic helpers on meal preparation during the chef’s off days or weekends.
Provide clear instructions to helpers regarding food preparation, storage and reheating where necessary.
Be flexible in accommodating reasonable changes to meal plans or family schedules.
Previous experience as a Private Chef, Personal Chef or experienced Cook is preferred.
Must be able to cook Chinese, Western and Japanese cuisine confidently and independently.
Able to prepare both everyday home-style meals and higher-quality dishes for guests or special occasions.
Good understanding of dietary restrictions, particularly gluten-free cooking and prevention of cross-contamination.
Strong menu-planning and grocery-shopping/marketing skills.
Able to estimate appropriate quantities and purchase according to actual requirements.
Good inventory-management skills and disciplined about not over-purchasing or over-stocking food.
Able to independently manage the kitchen, groceries and food supplies.
Good time-management and organisational skills.
High standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and food presentation.
Reliable, responsible and able to work independently.
Professional, respectful and discreet when working in a private household.
