Job summary

Qualifications

  • 4-5+ years of relevant experience in private banking, investment banking or financing within reputable institutions.
  • Strong understanding of credit processes, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to write concise reports.

Responsibilities

  • Lend with Lending Management, Sales Coverage, Risk Management to grow PB’s lending book.
  • Support structuring and execution of financing solutions for UHNW clients and Family Offices in S Asia with risk-aware, policy-aligned approaches.
  • Focus on structured financing against illiquid assets (Share-based, Real Estate, Alternatives).
  • Handle flow and exception cases: large exposures, concentrations, extended credits with risk mitigation.
  • Participate in new business initiatives and credit platform enhancements to drive growth.
  • Assist in client meetings with Sales/Coverage; coordinate with lawyers and clients on documentation to close deals.
  • Monitor ongoing transactions and contribute to marketing and internal reporting.

Job Description
Details of the Division and Team:

The Lending Officers work closely with Lending Management, Sales Coverage, Business Risk Management and Investment Solution Team to implement and execute Lending business strategy and transactions for the APAC region. Lending Officers will be supporting credit structuring and execution of financing solutions, including business, financial and legal analysis, due diligence, documentation and credit approval processes, ensuring execution success to the Bank’s highest standards. This is a challenging role which requires a strong ability to be agile and to work with key stakeholders to deliver on aggressive growth plans. Accountability includes attainment of set of performance targets, optimum resource utilization and adherence to relevant internal policies/controls and regulatory requirements.

Your key responsibilities:
  • Lending team, Coverage, Business Risk and Investment Managers to facilitate growth of the PB’s lending book
  • To support the structuring and execution of tailored financing solutions for clients (Ultra High Net Worth clients and Family Offices) in the South Asia market region aligned with risk appetite, return thresholds and internal credit policies
  • Focus primarily on structured financing solutions against less liquid assets, i.e. Share Backed Financing, Real Estates, Alternative Investments, Structured Products
  • To deal with both flow transactions and specifically focus on cases that have an element of exception to credit policy, large exposures, concentrations, extended credits and require extensive analysis and risk mitigation strategies (covenants, hedging etc)
  • To participate in new business initiatives and product development, and to enhance the credit platform to drive growth for the franchise
  • Opportunity to participate in client meetings along with Sales/Coverage to work on the key features of the structured product and liaise with internal/external lawyers and clients on legal documentation help closing transactions.
  • Responsible for monitoring ongoing transactions and be involved in the review/drafting of marketing, deal execution materials and internal desk reports.
  • Shape credit-related processes, policies and platform enhancements
Your skills and experience:
  • 4-5 years+ of relevant experience gained in private banking, investment bank or financing related groups within well regarded financial institutions
  • Knowledge in fundamental financial analysis including on corporates
  • Possesses good understanding of credit process, policies, and related legal/ regulatory requirements. Thorough knowledge of capital markets and derivatives products
  • Strong communicator (both written and verbal skills) with an ability to write concise reports
  • Have an open mindset and respects challenging views from different stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and an independent decision-maker with ability to support or defend conclusions.
  • Team oriented, flexible, diligent, self-motivated and willing to set example to junior teammates
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with wide range of cultures / personal styles and to establish strong partnership with infrastructure staff
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
