Job summary

Grab is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer for the AI Platform to serve as the senior technical anchor and platform architect. You will shape the forward roadmap, evaluate SOTA techniques for production, and drive cross-team integrations that deliver a coherent end-to-end experience.

You will ensure teams depending on AIP can succeed by translating user needs into platform requirements and removing adoption blockers.

Qualifications

Advanced mastery of ML lifecycle platforms and distributed training frameworks.
10+ years in Kubernetes, containers, and HPC with GPUs/TPUs.
Outstanding system design for scalable, secure multi-tenant platform services.
Hands-on with LLM orchestration, fine-tuning infrastructure, or serving optimization.
Learning mindset to evaluate and implement SOTA infrastructure paradigms.
Ability to operate independently in high-ambiguity environments.
Mentor senior engineers and promote technical excellence.

Responsibilities

Solution Architecture for AIP users: design end-to-end solutions and act as escalation point.
Large-Scale Training: drive throughput, reliability, cost, and developer experience.
Faster Iteration and Model Quality: reduce iteration time and improve model quality.
Platform Integration: design integrations across AIP surfaces for coherence.
User Experience Translation: convert pain points into functional requirements.
Enablement at Scale: produce reference architectures and patterns for many use cases.
Strategic Roadmap Definition & Mentorship: stay current with SOTA and mentor engineers.
