Job summary

SWIFT SEARCH GLOBAL PTE. LTD. is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer in Singapore to lead the mechanical engineering efforts for building and infrastructure projects, with emphasis on HDB residential developments.

You will provide technical leadership in design and coordination of mechanical building services, review designs and shop drawings, and coordinate ACMV, plumbing, sanitary, and fire protection systems. Mentorship and ensuring compliance with codes are key aspects.

Qualifications

• Degree required in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services systems.
• Experience in project coordination and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering aspects of building and infrastructure projects with focus on HDB residential developments.
• Provide technical leadership in design, coordination and implementation of mechanical building services systems.
• Review designs, calculations, drawings, specs, submissions and shop drawings for compliance.
• Coordinate mechanical services including ACMV, plumbing, sanitary, fire protection and related services.
• Lead M&E coordination with clients, architects, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve technical, design and site coordination issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Attend meetings with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Review contractors' proposals and method statements.
• Monitor site implementation ensuring works align with drawings and specs.
• Support inspections, testing and commissioning of systems.
• Coordinate with authorities for submissions and approvals.
• Provide mentorship to engineers and project team.
