Job summary

candidateasia group pte. ltd. is seeking a senior mechanical engineering leader in Singapore to drive construction activities across projects.

You will review designs, provide technical direction for HVAC and cooling systems, and coordinate engineering, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning efforts. You will manage interfaces among consultants, contractors, vendors, and other disciplines, monitor progress, and resolve complex issues while maintaining quality and schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience leading mechanical engineering and construction activities on projects.
• Ability to review mechanical designs, specs, drawings, and calculations.
• Strong technical direction for HVAC and cooling systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering and construction activities across assigned projects.
• Review mechanical designs, specifications, drawings, calculations, and technical submissions.
• Provide technical direction for HVAC, chilled water, cooling plant, and related mechanical systems.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Manage technical interfaces between consultants, contractors, vendors, and other disciplines.
• Monitor mechanical progress, quality, resources, and site performance against project requirements.
• Resolve complex technical and construction issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Review contractor methodologies, material proposals, equipment selections, and technical submissions.
• Support the Project Manager on programme, cost, procurement, contractual, and commercial matters.
• Lead and develop the mechanical engineering team and establish consistent technical standards.
