Job summary

GlobalFoundries seeks a Principal Engineer (Etch) to lead etch process development in the Process Module team in Singapore. You will develop, optimize, and sustain etch processes critical to advanced technology nodes, working hands-on with equipment and chemistries.

You will drive SOPs/FMEA, mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners, and contribute to IP through patents and publications.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of wafer fabrication etch experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiar with SPC, DOE and FMEA methodologies.
• Hands-on etch process development and optimization.
• Ability to publish or contribute to patents is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify etch formulations, methods and tool controls.
• Analyze technical data to ensure etch performance and stability.
• Create and maintain SOPs and FMEA for the etch module.
• Integrate equipment capabilities to meet specs of the process module.
• Lead recipe creation, maintenance and optimization for etch tools.
