Job summary

GLOBALFOUNDRIES SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a reliability engineer to drive RF device reliability through development and qualification. You will collaborate with integration, device, and design teams across RF-SOI and RF-SiGe technologies.

The role requires a strong background in semiconductor reliability, RF devices, and reliability modelling, with emphasis on SOA modeling and failure analysis. You will lead qualification activities and support cross-functional teams in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field (EE, Physics, or Materials Science).
• 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's, or 4+ years with a Master’s.
• PhD plus 1–2 years semiconductor reliability experience with RF preferred.
• Strong foundation in device/reliability physics and reliability modelling.

Responsibilities

• Drive reliability planning, testing, and assessments for RF tech offerings (RF-SOI, RF-SiGe).
• Develop Safe Operating Area models for RF switches and Power Amplifiers.
• Lead root cause analysis of reliability tests and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare qualification plans and reports for internal and external customers.
• Serve as a technical resource for reliability lab operations.
• Coordinate sample prep, test time, data review, and FA processes.

Job description

Introduction

In this reliability engineering role you will work cross-functionally with integration, device, and design teams among others in the RF product line to drive reliability objectives through development and qualification. A solid background in semiconductor reliability and SiGe HBT and RF-SOI devices is essential to this success in this role.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Drive reliability planning, testing, and assessments for GF Radio Frequency (RF) technology offerings in RF-SOI, and RF-SiGe technologies using risk based thinking and latest developments RF device reliability physics.

• Develop Safe Operating Area (SOA) models for RF switches and Power Amplifiers

• Drive root cause analysis of reliability test, initiate failure analysis work, propose corrective actions, and continually update FMEAs

• Prepare qualification plans and reports for both internal and external customers

• Function as a technical resource for reliability lab operations

• Coordinate logistics in preparing samples, allocating test time, reviewing test data, initiating the FA process

Required Qualifications:

• An advanced Degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or other applicable field

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or master's with 4 years

• PhD + 1-2 year of semiconductor technology and product reliability engineering experience with RF

• A strong foundation of device and reliability physics, accelerated testing methodology, and reliability modelling methodology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with cross-functional and globally distributed teams to drive solutions to reliability challenges.

• Experience with RF technology device performance and reliability
