Job summary

Ambition is seeking an experienced Etch Process Engineer to lead development, optimization, and sustainment of dry etch processes in a wafer fabrication environment. You will drive process performance, yield improvement, and manufacturing excellence while collaborating with integration, equipment, and technology teams.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead continuous improvement, and ensure safety and quality standards are met across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Science, or related).
• 5–8 years of semiconductor wafer fabrication with dry etch expertise.
• Hands-on with DOE, SPC, and FMEA methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and sustain advanced etch processes to meet performance, yield, and quality targets.
• Create and optimize process recipes; monitor tool performance and stability.
• Analyze process data, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.

You will also serve as a technical expert, providing mentorship and leading continuous improvement initiatives for advanced semiconductor process technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and sustain advanced etch processes to achieve performance, yield, and quality targets.
• Create and optimize process recipes, monitor tool performance, and improve process stability.
• Analyze process data, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, yield, and manufacturing efficiency.

Ideal Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Science, or a related Engineering discipline.
• 5-8 years of semiconductor wafer fabrication experience with strong expertise in dry etch process engineering.
• Hands-on experience with process optimization, troubleshooting, SPC, DOE, and FMEA methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven ability to work independently while leading cross-functional technical initiatives.
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving continuous process improvement is highly preferred.
