Job summary

Surbana Jurong seeks an Energy Modeling & Analysis Lead to develop, calibrate and validate energy models for buildings and campuses using EnergyPlus, IES-VE and DesignBuilder, supporting high-performance design and green certification targets. You will establish modeling standards, lead multi-project tasks, and mentor junior modelers while staying current with codes and decarbonization strategies.

You will present results to teams and clients, informing design decisions and ensuring compliance

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Energy Modeling & Analysis

• Develop, calibrate, and validate detailed energy models for buildings, campuses, and/or energy systems using industry-standard tools (e.g., EnergyPlus, IES-VE, Design builder).

• Conduct modeling to support high-performance design, code compliance (ASHRAE 90.1), green building certifications (Green Mark, LEED, Green Star, BREEAM), and incentive programs.

• Analyze HVAC system performance, envelope strategies, renewables integration, and decarbonization pathways.

Technical Leadership

• Establish modeling standards, workflows, QA/QC procedures, and documentation protocols.

• Lead scoping, planning, and execution of complex modeling tasks across multiple projects.

• Keep current with new modeling technologies, energy codes, decarbonization strategies, and simulation techniques.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Present energy modeling results to project teams, clients, utilities, and regulatory bodies.

• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, sustainability consultants, and project managers to inform design decisions.

• Provide technical guidance to internal teams regarding energy codes, performance targets, and modeling implications.

Mentorship & Development

• Train and support junior modelers in software proficiency, methodology, and analysis best practices.

• Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to internal capability building.
