Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking junior engineers to join our Environmental Sustainable Design team, working on Green Mark/GBI/LEED/WELL projects in Singapore and internationally.

You will assist in sustainability program management, energy benchmarking, and master planning energy analyses, with exposure to building physics and simulation tools like IESVE and EnergyPlus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in M&E, Architecture, building services or sustainability related field. Master’s degree in Sustainability highly regarded.
• Entry-level position; prior experience not mandatory and we welcome candidates with professional ESD experience.
• Demonstrate knowledge of common energy analysis/benchmarking, Excel-based energy calculation and energy modeling software, with focus on IESVE or EnergyPlus.
• Foundational understanding of building systems, particularly ACMV.
• Experience with modeling support software such as Open Studio and Rhino is a plus.
• Project management skills with ability to balance tasks, cost and time.

• Support in managing projects related to overall sustainability, decarbonization and carbon advisory
• Assisting in providing high level energy analysis and benchmarking energy consumption against best practices guideline and net zero roadmap for master planning in Singapore and overseas
• Contribute to cost-effective solution to project teams for improving building performance, decarbonization and sustainability
• Participate in research on, review, recommend and implement industry best practices in sustainable building design and system

• While we welcome candidates with professional ESD experience, this position is designed for entry-level individuals, and prior experience is not mandatory.
• Demonstrate knowledge of common energy analysis/benchmarking, Excel-based energy calculation and energy modeling software, with a specific focus on IESVE or EnergyPlus
• Foundational understanding of building system, particularly in ACMV system and other M&E disciplines
• Experience with modeling support software such as Open Studio and Rhino is a plus
• Project management skills with ability to actively manage and balance task, cost and time
• Team player with the ability to work as a team, willing to learn, contribute ideas and assist team member with tasks/duties, when required
• Highly self-driven and pro-active with a keen interest for exploring innovative solutions
