Job summary

Dyson Operations Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an Associate Principal Cells Engineer to bridge product requirements with battery technology and collaborate with product BU, test teams and suppliers. You will lead EVT, DVT and PVT activities, define testing strategies, ensure safety and reliability, and mentor junior engineers while integrating with hardware, software and mechanical teams.

Qualifications

MSc or PhD with focus on battery technology or energy systems.
Experience in battery design, testing, and validation.
Experience collaborating with suppliers for development and testing.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product BU to define battery design and testing strategies.
Lead EVT/ DVT/ PVT verification and validation activities.
Work with hardware, software, and mechanical teams to integrate batteries into products.
Engage with suppliers to establish protocols and drive optimization.
Oversee battery lab development, safety compliance, and testing workflows.
Ensure compliance with IEC 62133 and UL 1642 and internal safety standards.
Analyze data, prepare reports for senior stakeholders, and mentor engineers.
