Job summary

Power Systems R and D in Kallang, Singapore, seeks a Senior Firmware Engineer to develop BMS software for battery systems and SMPS hardware. You will define requirements, ensure software meets system needs, and run tests across benches and ATE environments.

The role requires 5+ years in battery-system software, strong debugging, and proficiency with Python and I2C tools. Willingness to travel for build support and overseas trips is noted.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in software development for battery systems (BBU, UPS), SMPS, and related industries.
• Experience with BMS/SMPS software creation, debugging and control algorithms.
• Experience with software development tools, debugging tools, test tools creation and diagnostics tools (e.g., scripts, i2c analyzer, python).
• Experience with software change and update cycle management.
• Experience with electrical circuits used in BMS hardware and in SMPS hardware.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop BMS software requirements and control algorithms for release and testing.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets system requirements.
• Track, troubleshoot and test on bench, system and ATE environments.
• Support build and verification across hardware and software for battery systems.
