Job summary

Resaro is hiring a Principal AI Engineer for our AI evaluation team. You will lead a high-performing group of engineers and scientists, shaping architecture and system design while steering evaluation methods across computer vision, LLM/RAG, and agentic AI. Your leadership will align technical decisions with product strategy.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including tech lead or manager.
• Working depth in ML, data science, or statistics to design evaluation metrics.
• Proficiency in Python for backend services and data pipelines.
• Demonstrated technical leadership of an engineering team and architecture decisions.
• Direct people-management experience or readiness for it.
• Strong architecture judgement, managing coupling and migrations.
• Clear written and verbal communication with outcome-focused delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own the evaluation science, defining measurement methods for AI systems under scrutiny.
• Lead the technical direction of the evaluation engine across CV, LLM/RAG, VLM and agentic AI.
• Shape roadmap direction, align with product, and influence 6–12 month priorities.
• Set engineering quality standards via design reviews and hands-on guidance.
• Maintain conceptual integrity and document architecture decisions.
• Lead 1:1s, performance, and career development for a multidisciplinary team of 9 in SG and Munich; participate in hiring.
• Translate the roadmap into executable plans, sequence work, and manage scoping and resourcing.
