Job summary

People Profilers Pte Ltd is seeking a senior technical leader to drive AI and machine learning research and production capabilities in a remote-first, globally distributed setting. You will shape the research roadmap, evaluate architectures, and guide deployment strategies for advanced AI models across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Extensive hands-on experience developing, training or improving machine learning systems deployed in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python and PyTorch and/or JAX, with experience working with GPU-based model training and inference.
• Deep understanding of model behaviour, evaluation, failure modes, robustness and technical trade-offs in complex AI systems.
• Strong hands-on technical orientation with the ability to make high-impact research and engineering decisions independently in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the AI and machine learning research roadmap, including reasoning, memory, planning and intelligent workflow execution.
• Evaluate whether to develop new model architectures internally or adapt open-source/commercial foundation models.
• Develop robust model evaluation frameworks covering accuracy, usefulness, reliability, safety and behaviour in real-world environments.
• Establish technical approaches for model alignment, safety controls and guardrails within production AI systems.
• Research and evaluate advanced techniques including retrieval-augmented methods, mixture-of-experts, model distillation, multi-agent systems and multimodal models.
• Partner with product, ML and application engineering teams to translate research into deployable features.
• Guide key technical decisions involving model architecture, training, inference and production deployment.
• Establish high technical standards for research quality, experimentation, evaluation and long-term system performance.
