Job summary

Aestral Learning Hub is seeking a Student Care Mentor to guide primary school children through homework, revision, and daily learning activities. You will help students develop habits, independence, and confidence while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

You will communicate with parents about progress and well-being, support structured learning programmes, including digital activities, and assist with daily operations and student arrivals.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in any discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience with children, preferably at primary school level.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to guide children and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Experience in student care, tuition, enrichment or school settings.
• Familiarity with Singapore’s primary school curriculum and homework requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage primary school children during student-care hours.
• Guide students with homework, revision and daily learning activities.
• Support children in developing good study habits, focus, routines and independence.
• Assist in implementing the centre’s structured learning programmes, including digital learning activities.
• Encourage children to develop confidence, responsibility and positive learning attitudes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organised and nurturing learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour positively and constructively.
• Support children’s social and emotional well-being.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding children’s attendance, learning progress and well-being.
• Assist with daily centre operations, including student arrival, meals, dismissal and pick-up arrangements.
