Job summary

Aestral Learning Hub is seeking a Part-Time Student Care Mentor to support children's after-school learning. You will guide homework, revisions and structured activities, helping children build good study habits and confidence in a safe environment.

You will communicate with parents about progress and work with fellow mentors to ensure smooth daily operations. Prior experience and a caring, collaborative approach are valued.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in any discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience with children, preferably at primary school level.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour positively and effectively.
• Responsible, organised and dependable.
• Patience, empathy and a genuine interest in children's development.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate professionally with parents.
• WSQ Student Care certification or Early Childhood certificate (preferred).

About the role

As a Part-Time Student Care Mentor, you will be an important part of children's daily after-school experience. You will provide homework guidance, support revision and facilitate structured learning activities while encouraging children to develop good study habits, focus and independence. Beyond academic support, you will help children build confidence, practise positive behaviour and develop healthy relationships with others. You will also maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment, communicate with parents regarding children's progress and well-being, and collaborate with other mentors to ensure smooth daily centre operations.
