Job summary

PAP Community Foundation is seeking a dedicated kitchen assistant to support daily meals for children at our centre in Singapore. You will plan the daily menu, source ingredients, and ensure meals meet dietary guidelines while maintaining high hygiene standards.

The role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience, physical stamina, and reliability. You will work with Centre Admin Staff to ensure timely service and clean, safe food preparation areas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily menu for all meals for children at the centre.
• Ensure meals are balanced and meet dietary guidelines by the Singapore Health Promotion Board.
• Purchase ingredients for daily cooking with help from Centre Admin Staff.
• Ensure that food is prepared in a clean and hygienic way.
• Serve meals on time.
• Keep kitchen area clean after cooking.
• Maintain centre cleanliness when the cleaner is absent.
• Wash utensils after meals.
• Receive and pack food items in storeroom.
• Do stock taking for food items.
• Push trolley and serve food to children across bays as needed.
