Job summary

MVC Resources in Singapore is seeking a Service Engineer to support life science preclinical systems across regional facilities. You will install, calibrate and maintain research instruments, provide application training and ensure compliance with welfare and regulatory guidelines.

You will travel to customer sites, collaborate with international manufacturers and support the sales team with technical input, documentation and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in preclinical research, vivarium or lab facilities, or technical/application roles serving such facilities.
• Familiarity with research compliance and welfare frameworks (e.g. IACUC) is an advantage.
• Comfortable with technical equipment and hands-on servicing.
• Good communication and training skills with a customer-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain research systems used in preclinical and life science facilities.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration and repairs, and resolve technical issues quickly.
• Provide application support and user training to researchers and facility staff.
• Advise customers on system setup and workflows that follow facility and regulatory guidelines.
• Work with overseas manufacturers on technical issues, spare parts and warranty matters.
• Keep accurate service and training records.
• Support the sales team with product demonstrations and technical input.
