Job summary

Yamazaki Mazak Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and document mechanical systems for high-precision CNC lathes. You’ll manage concepts to detailed drawings using SolidWorks, and coordinate with production, quality and procurement to ensure on-time, cost-effective solutions.

The candidate should hold a Diploma or Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years in CNC machine design, and strong CAD skills in SolidWorks 2024; CATIA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in mechanical design for CNC machines.
• Familiarity with GD&T and DFMA.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic systems is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design mechanical components and assemblies for CNC tool holders from concept to detailed drawings.
• Lead full-cycle product development including ideation, prototyping, testing and mass production transition.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Procurement to optimize manufacturability and cost.
