Job summary

Fu Yu Corp in Singapore seeks an experienced mould maker to interpret engineering drawings and operate conventional machines for precision fitting and finishing. You will ensure moulds meet dimensional, functional and quality standards and inspect with vernier calipers, micrometers and height gauges.

You will read drawings, perform precision machining, grinding, polishing, drilling and bench work, and carry out repairs, refurbishment and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Nitec or Diploma in Precision Engineering or related discipline.
• Bilingual in both spoken and written form.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Operate conventional machines, performing precision fitting and finishing.
• Ensure moulds meet dimensional, functional, and quality standards.
• Check dimensions using vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, mould designs, specifications and technical documentation.
• Perform precision machining, fitting, grinding, polishing, drilling, tapping, and bench work.
• Carry out mould repairs, modifications, refurbishment, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure mould components are correctly fitted, aligned, and finished to the required standards.
• Identify worn or damaged components and recommend replacement or corrective action.
• Report faulty equipment, damages, and safety concerns to Supervisor immediately.
• Observes all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintains 5S workplace standards and orderly work area.
