Job summary

NEXBRIDGE RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Machining Engineer to optimise cycle times, tooling and process stability in our precision manufacturing team in Singapore.

You will work hands-on with operators, design fixtures, and lead improvement projects to boost productivity and quality. The role requires a Diploma in Precision Machining or Mechanical Engineering, plus 3 years in a precision engineering setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Precision Machining or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3 years of working experience in a precision engineering environment.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, MasterCAM or HyperMill.
• Familiar with milling, turning, lathe, grinding and sheet metal operations.
• Experience with metal fabrication such as welding and surface treatment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving in manufacturing processes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; willingness to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Drive machining process improvements to optimise cycle time, tooling, setup efficiency, process stability, quality and manufacturing costs
• Provide hands-on technical support to resolve daily production issues, troubleshoot machining problems, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Take ownership of Mazak machining processes, tooling, fixtures, process control and job loading coordination to optimise machine utilisation and production output
• Work closely with operators on shopfloor process optimisation
• Design and improve machining fixtures, coordinate fabrication, and follow up on testing, validation and implementation
• Lead and follow up on Continuous Improvement (CI) and Six Sigma projects focusing on productivity, quality, waste reduction, setup time and manufacturing efficiency
• Analyse ERP production data to identify performance gaps, process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities, and drive data-driven corrective actions
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality and Engineering teams to resolve operational issues and ensure smooth production execution
