Job summary

Manpower Staffing Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a production engineering professional to provide hands‑on support, resolve daily machining issues, and drive continuous improvement in machining processes, tooling, fixtures, and machine utilisation to boost productivity, quality, and efficiency.

You will own Mazak machining centre processes, design fixtures, lead Six Sigma projects, analyze ERP data for performance gaps, and collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality, and Engineering

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Precision Machining or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in a precision engineering environment.
• Familiar with milling, turning, lathes, grinding, and sheet metal operations.
• Familiar with welding, sheet metal work, and surface treatment.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, MasterCAM or HyperMill.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive machining process improvements to optimise cycle time, tooling, setup efficiency, process stability, quality and costs.
• Provide hands-on technical support to resolve daily production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Take ownership of Mazak machining processes, tooling, fixtures, and load coordination.
• Design and improve machining fixtures, coordinate fabrication and testing.
• Lead CI and Six Sigma projects focusing on productivity and quality.
• Analyse ERP production data to identify performance gaps and drive CI initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality and Engineering for smooth execution.

Job Summary

Responsible for providing hands‑on engineering support, resolving daily production issues, and driving continuous improvement in machining processes, tooling, fixtures, and machine utilisation to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Process Improvement & Optimisation Drive machining process improvements to optimise cycle time, tooling, setup efficiency, process stability, quality, and manufacturing costs.
• Production Engineering Support Provide hands‑on technical support to resolve daily production issues, troubleshoot machining problems, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Mazak Machining Centre Management Take ownership of Mazak machining processes, tooling, fixtures, process control, and job loading coordination to optimise machine utilisation and production output. Work closely with operators on shopfloor process optimisation.
• Fixture Design & Development Design and improve machining fixtures, coordinate fabrication, and follow up on testing, validation, and implementation.
• Continuous Improvement (CI) & Six Sigma Lead and follow up on CI and Six Sigma projects focusing on productivity, quality, waste reduction, setup time, and manufacturing efficiency.
• ERP Data Analysis & Performance Improvement Analyse ERP production data to identify performance gaps, process inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. Drive data‑driven corrective actions and CI initiatives.
• Cross‑functional Coordination Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve operational issues and ensure smooth production execution.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Precision Machining or Mechanical Engineering
• At least 3 - 5 years of working experience in precision engineering environment
• Familiar with machining process (milling, turning, Lathes, grinding, Sheetmetal operation) would be added advantage
• Familiar with metal fabrication processes like welding, sheetmetal work, surface treatment etc
• Proficient in Mechanical software (Solidwork, MasterCAM or HyperMill)
• Troubleshoot and problems solving skills on manufacturing process
