Job summary

VSTECS (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Solution Architect (Data Protection & Resiliency) to drive design and engage with enterprise customers across Singapore and the APJ region.

You will be a trusted advisor leading architecture discussions and designing resilient data protection strategies across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. You will conduct workshops, PoCs, and executive briefings, and collaborate with sales, partners, and internal teams to win deals while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Based in Singapore
• Proven experience as Solution Architect / Senior Pre-Sales Engineer / Technical Consultant
• Willingness to travel across Singapore and APJ region for customer engagements

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for data protection, backup, and disaster recovery initiatives
• Engage customers across Singapore and APJ to translate requirements into scalable, resilient designs
• Design solutions covering backup, replication, DR, cyber resilience, and data governance
• Conduct technical workshops, solution presentations, and executive-level engagements
• Lead and execute PoCs and technical validations
• Prepare solution architecture designs, technical proposals, and RFP/RFI responses
• Provide advisory on best practices, compliance, and ransomware protection strategies
• Collaborate with sales, partners, and internal stakeholders to drive deal closure
• Support implementation and deployment for complex or strategic projects

We are seeking an experiencedSolution Architect (Data Protection & Resiliency)to drive solution design and technical engagements acrossSingapore and the APJ region. This role will serve as atrusted advisor to enterprise customers, leading architecture discussions and designing resilient data protection strategies across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

This role requiresregional travelto support customer engagements, workshops, and project implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadend-to-end solution architecturefor data protection, backup, and disaster recovery (DR) initiatives
• Engage customers across Singapore and APJ to understand business and technical requirements, translating them intoscalable, resilient solution designs
• Design solutions coveringbackup, replication, disaster recovery, cyber resilience, and data governance
• Conducttechnical workshops, solution presentations, and executive-level engagements
• Lead and executeProof of Concept (PoC)and technical validations
• Preparesolution architecture designs, technical proposals, and RFP/RFI responses

Core Requirements

Must-Have Technical Expertise

• Strong experience indata protection, backup, disaster recovery (DR), and data resiliency architectures
• Hands-on experience or deep familiarity with leading platforms such as:

Veeam

Commvault

Rubrik

Cohesity

Veritas NetBackup (NBU)

• Solid understanding of:

RPO / RTO design and optimization

Backup methodologies (full, incremental, differential)

Replication, failover, and DR orchestration

Cyber resilience and ransomware recovery strategies

Infrastructure & Platform Knowledge

• Virtualization:VMware (vSphere, VCF)or equivalent
• Operating Systems: Strong hands-on experience inLinux and Windows
• Databases: Familiarity withOracle, SQL Server, MySQL(backup/recovery concepts)
• Cloud Platforms:AWS / Azure / Alibaba Cloud / Huawei Cloud / HCS
• Storage: SAN, NAS, snapshots, and replication technologies

Nice-to-Have

• Experience inhybrid cloud / multi-cloud data protection strategies
• Exposure toKubernetes / container backup
• Knowledge ofbig data platforms (Hadoop, Hive, HDFS)
• Experience handlingenterprise RFPs and large-scale deployments
• Relevant certifications (VMware, Cloud, Backup vendors)
