Job summary

ACCESS PEOPLE (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a Presales Solution Architect with deep hybrid cloud expertise to lead architect discussions with enterprise clients in Singapore and APAC.

You will translate business requirements into scalable cloud solutions, design secure architectures, and own migration strategies. You will present to senior stakeholders, develop business cases including TCO and cloud economics, and work with sales and delivery teams to craft compelling proposals and RFP

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience in hybrid cloud (private/public) and 6+ years in datacentre transformation & design.
• Proven presales/solutioning for large-scale cloud transformation and infra outsourcing incl. RFPs.
• Hands-on design/deploy across Azure/AWS; VMware environments incl. VMware on AWS; current hyperscaler certs.

Job description

A global technology services and consulting firm with a well-established presence in Singapore and across Asia Pacific, are seeking a Presales Solution Architect with deep hybrid cloud expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical and architectural discussions with enterprise customers, translating business requirements into practical hybrid cloud solutions

• Design scalable, secure and cost-effective cloud architectures, including enterprise landing zones, network topology, identity and governance

• Develop migration and modernisation strategies for moving on-premises workloads to public and private cloud, with clear sizing, effort estimation and pricing

• Own the technical content of proposals, solution documents, statements of work and RFP responses, maximising re-use of standard offerings

• Build business cases for cloud adoption, including total cost of ownership and cloud economics, and present these to senior stakeholders

• Run customer workshops and technology assessments to identify consolidation and transformation opportunities

• Work closely with sales and delivery teams, supporting client presentations and meetings as the solution authority

• Keep current with cloud-native, container, automation and emerging technology trends and bring them into solution proposals

Requirements

• At least 10 years of IT experience in hybrid cloud (private and public), including 6 or more years in datacentre transformation, cloud migration and solution design

• Proven presales or solutioning experience for large scale cloud transformation and infrastructure outsourcing engagements, including RFP responses

• Hands on design and deployment experience across Azure and AWS, and VMware-based environments including VMware on AWS; current hyperscaler certification (AWS, Azure, GCP or Oracle)

• Strong grounding in software-defined datacentre and hyper-converged platforms (for example VMware Cloud Foundation, vSAN, Nutanix, Azure Stack) and virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack)

• Knowledge of cloud networking and security (VPC, virtual networks, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, load balancing, VPN, security groups, MFA) and identity and access management including Active Directory and Entra ID

• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management (for example CloudFormation, ARM or Terraform, Chef, Puppet) and familiarity with containers, microservices and modern data platforms

• Ability to produce accurate solution estimates and to guide others on high-level and low-level design across Linux and Windows estates, including HA, DR and storage architectures

• Good presentation and communication skills with senior stakeholders; a Bachelor's degree in engineering, with a management qualification considered advantageous
