Job summary

Upper Spring Consulting seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions while integrating with on‑premises Windows and Linux systems and ensuring network security.

The role covers troubleshooting, IaC, cloud security, and collaborative pre‑sales work in a dynamic IT environment in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 10 years of experience with Windows, Linux, and networking background.
• Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure cloud services.
• Strong experience with Windows and Linux Server administration (AD, GPO, DNS, etc.).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls; IaC tools experience.
• PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Ansible scripting proficiency.
• Cloud security frameworks and compliance knowledge.
• Experience in pre-sales architecture and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS or Azure.
• Manage Windows and Linux environments including AD, GPO, DNS, and performance tuning.
• Configure networking components: firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching.
• Implement cloud security best practices and ensure compliance.
• Automate deployments using Terraform, PowerShell, Ansible or Bash.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security.
• Collaborate on cloud migrations and hybrid environments.
• Document cloud architectures, configurations, and procedures.
• Contribute to pre-sales with technical proposals and RFP input.

We are representing our client, a large IT solution provider, to look for an experienced Cloud Engineer to complement the existing team of consultants. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions while ensuring seamless integration with on-premises Windows and Linux infrastructure and robust network security.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure in AWS or Azure.
• Manage Windows and Linux-based environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and system performance tuning.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking components, including firewalls, VPNs, routing, and switching.
• Implement cloud security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Automate deployments and infrastructure management using Terraform, PowerShell, Ansible or Bash.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud migrations and hybrid environments.
• Document cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Participate in pre-sales activities, including crafting technical proposals, presenting cloud solutions and providing technical input for RFPs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the field with a strong Windows, Linux, and networking background.
• Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure cloud services.
• Strong experience with Windows and Linux Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy,etc.).
• Solid knowledge of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Ansible scripting.
• Understanding of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Experience in pre-sales architecture, proposal writing, and technical client presentations.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, RHCE, or CCNA/CCNP will be added advantage.
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in Singapore GovTech GCC environment is desirable.
