Job summary

U3 INFOTECH PTE. LTD. on Jurong Island is seeking an experienced Material Controller to manage spare parts and maintenance materials for a power generation plant. The role focuses on ensuring availability, control and traceability of critical materials for maintenance, outages and operations.

Candidates should have 4–5 years in material control, power plant experience and strong Excel skills. The position is site-based and requires willingness to be stationed at the plant.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in Material Control or inventory management.
• Mandatory: experience in a power plant/power generation environment.
• Hands-on experience managing spare parts and maintenance materials.
• Experience supporting plant outages, shutdowns or turnarounds.
• Proficient in Excel for inventory tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage power plant spare parts and maintenance materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure availability of critical spare parts.
• Coordinate material requirements for planned maintenance, shutdowns, outages.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Procurement and Warehouse teams.
• Monitor material requests, POs, deliveries, receipts and issuance of spare parts.
• Maintain Excel-based inventory trackers and reports.
• Conduct stock checks, cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
• Track critical, slow-moving and obsolete spare parts.
• Support urgent material needs during breakdowns.
• Prepare outage/shutdown material requirements and availability.
• Ensure proper identification, storage, traceability and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with plant HSE and material handling.
