Job summary

U3 INFOTECH PTE. LTD. on Jurong Island, Singapore is seeking an experienced Material Controller for a power generation plant.

You will ensure timely availability, control and traceability of critical materials and spare parts required for plant maintenance and outages. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory, coordinating with Maintenance, Engineering and Operations, and conducting stock checks and cycle counts to prevent shortages.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience in Material Control or Inventory Management.
• Experience in a power plant / power generation environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking, reporting and data management.
• Willing to be stationed at a power plant on Jurong Island.

Responsibilities

• Manage power plant spare parts and maintenance materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure availability of critical spare parts.
• Coordinate material requirements for planned maintenance, shutdowns, turnarounds and outages.
• Work with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Procurement and Warehouse teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
• Monitor material requests, purchase orders, deliveries and receipts.
• Maintain and update Excel-based inventory trackers and material status reports.
• Conduct physical stock checks, cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
• Track critical, slow-moving and obsolete spare parts and maintain proper records.
• Support urgent material requirements during plant breakdowns and unplanned maintenance.
• Prepare and monitor outage/shutdown material requirements and availability.
• Ensure proper identification, storage, preservation and traceability of plant spare parts.
• Maintain material documentation and records per site procedures.
• Ensure compliance with plant HSE and material handling requirements.
