Power Distribution Expert
Location: Singapore
Employment type: Full-time
Vacancies: 1
About the Role
This role owns the low-voltage distribution architecture and customer-side interface design of residential energy storage systems, ensuring that capacity, protection, grounding, temperature-rise, and installation solutions meet target-market requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- 1.Design power distribution solutions for residential energy storage systems, including BMS, PCS, and customer-side distribution applications.
- 2.Develop power distribution architectures, capacity calculations, component selection, protection coordination, cabling, and grounding designs. Produce schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and technical specifications.
- 3.Design customer-interface power distribution products and select and validate key components such as circuit breakers, contactors, relays, and surge protective devices.
- 4.Develop power distribution solutions that comply with electrical codes, grid-connection requirements, and installation rules in major target markets, including Europe and North America.
- 5.Work with research and development, test, and certification teams on system integration, prototype debugging, corrective action, and production introduction, and establish standardized and modular power distribution design practices.
- 6.Perform protection selectivity and coordination studies and short-circuit and fault-current assessments, and prepare critical design calculations.
- 7.Participate in safety reviews and failure-mode analysis for distribution solutions and identify risks involving miswiring, overload, short circuit, grounding, and surge events.
- 8.Support preparation of installation manuals, wiring instructions, and field technical materials and help resolve certification, pilot-production, and installation issues.
Requirements
- 9.Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, power systems, power electronics, automation, or a related discipline. At least 8 years of design experience in low-voltage distribution, power products, photovoltaic systems, or energy storage systems.
- 10.Familiarity with single-phase, split-phase, and three-phase low-voltage distribution systems and with the architecture and design of grid-connected, off-grid, backup-power, and automatic-transfer systems.
- 11.Proficiency in capacity and load calculation, cable selection, short-circuit current calculation, insulation coordination, grounding, and temperature-rise design.
- 12.Familiarity with low-voltage distribution, electrical installation, safety, and grid-connection requirements in major target markets, with end-to-end experience from solution design through certification and mass production.
- 13.Proficiency with mainstream electrical design tools. Able to prepare technical documents and conduct international technical collaboration in English.
- 14.Project experience in protection coordination, selectivity studies, and short-circuit current calculation.
- 15.Ability to independently review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, installation drawings, and critical design calculations.
