Job summary

Heraeus Electronics in Singapore seeks a motivated R&D Engineer to join our Pioneer office, supporting new product development and improvements through hands-on lab work, data analysis, and testing methodologies. Senior candidates may be considered for a Senior Engineer position.

The role involves collaboration with QA, Manufacturing, and Marketing, guiding technicians, operating lab equipment, and maintaining safety and documentation. SAP support may be involved.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Associates in Material Science or metallurgy required.
• 2-5 years in lab or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of material science, metallurgy, powders, solder paste.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Lab safety protocols and regulatory requirements knowledge.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Good organizational skills for documentation and cleanliness.
• High attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Self-motivated, proactive, able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test prototypes under guidance of senior R&D staff.
• Conduct/support experiments, data collection, basic data analysis, and report summarization.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders.
• Guide technicians/juniors on processes, equipment operation, and data collection.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and laboratory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and troubleshooting.
• Support R&D team in SAP system, administrative docs, and lab cleanliness.
