Job summary

NTU Singapore is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral or Research Fellow to lead independent research in next-generation electrochemical energy systems, with a focus on solid-state batteries and interfacial chemistry. The role includes mentoring students and collaborating across materials science, electrochemistry, and mechanics.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a related field, at least 3 years of hands-on experience, and a proven publication record, with strong communication skills

Qualifications

• PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant research/hands-on experience in materials synthesis, electrochemical testing, and advanced characterization.
• Proven track record of high-impact publications in top journals.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive independent research in next-generation electrochemical energy systems.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in the lab.
• Collaborate across materials science, electrochemistry, and mechanics on joint projects.
• Prepare manuscripts and present at international conferences.
• Contribute to grant proposals and new project development.
