Job summary

NTU Singapore, a leading research-intensive university, invites applications for a Postdoctoral or Research Fellow to advance independent research in next-generation electrochemical energy systems. The role spans materials science, electrochemistry and mechanics, mentoring students, and collaboration with partners.

The candidate will focus on solid-state batteries, interfacial chemistry and novel energy materials, contributing to high-impact publications and grant development.

Qualifications

• PhD or conferred PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, EEE, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant hands-on experience in materials synthesis, electrochemical testing, and advanced characterization.
• Proven track record of high-quality research publications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced research on solid-state batteries and high-energy devices.
• Develop materials for electronic devices (sensors, semiconductors, switches).
• Design and perform electrochemical, mechanical, and advanced materials characterizations.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners on joint projects.
• Prepare manuscripts for high-impact journals and present at international conferences.
• Contribute to grant proposal writing and new project development.
• Mentor and supervise PhD, Master’s, and undergrad students in the lab.
