Job summary

Nanyang Technological University invites applications for a Postdoctoral or Research Fellow to lead independent research in next-generation electrochemical energy systems, focusing on solid-state batteries, interfacial chemistry, and electro-chemo-mechanics.

The role will drive collaborations across materials science, electrochemistry, and mechanics, and mentor graduate and undergraduate students in the lab.

Qualifications

• PhD or near completion in Materials Science, Chemistry, or related engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in materials synthesis, electrochemical testing, and advanced characterization.
• Strong publication record in high-impact journals.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct solid-state battery research and develop materials for electronic devices.
• Design and perform electrochemical, mechanical, and materials characterizations.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners on joint projects.
• Prepare manuscripts for high-impact journals and present at conferences.
• Contribute to grant proposals and new project development.
• Mentor and supervise PhD, Master’s, and undergraduate students.
