Job summary

Wilhelmsen Ships Service in Singapore is seeking a Port Service Engineer Coordinator to monitor, plan and improve onboard service activities for our Port Service Engineers. You will align visits with PSEs and stay in direct contact with customers, ensuring quality of service and efficient use of resources.

You will work with Area PSE Managers and Customer Service to meet KPI targets and improve operations using IT tools such as Salesforce FieldService.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in the marine industry.
• Vocational technical or maritime training.
• Good level of fluency in English.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate activities performed by Port Service Engineers during onboard visits.
• Respond to inquiries related to PSE activities with professionalism and speed.
• Quality control the PSE uploads and issue reports after each vessel visit.
• Coordinate with internal teams to fulfil customer needs efficiently.
• Utilise IT tools for a transparent and consistent way of working.
• Keep stakeholders informed about key issues related to product/service problems.
• Work to optimise day-to-day resource usage.

Port Service Engineer (PSE) Coordinator

As a PSE Coordinator you will be responsible for monitoring, planning, coordinating and improving onboard service activities for our Port Service Engineers. When needed you will maintain and stay in direct communication with customers, aligning onboard visits with respective PSEs. You will work closely with the Area PSE Managers, Port Service Engineers and Customer Service to ensure quality of service delivered. By utilising available IT tools, such as Salesforce FieldService which will be implemented Q3/Q4 2023, you will ensure optimized performance based on resource availability and competence, and meet agreed Key Performance Indicator targets.

Who you will work with

The Port Service Engineer (PSE) Coordinators report to the Global Port Service Engineer Director and collaborate with the Port Service Engineers, Area PSE Managers and Customer Service.

What you will work on

• Planning and coordinating activities performed by Port Service Engineers such as onboard visits on customer vessels
• Responding to incoming questions and enquiries related to Port Service Engineer activities with professionalism and speed, ensuring quality of service is delivered
• Quality controlling the PSE uploads and issuing the relevant reports and documentation after each conducted vessel visit
• Ensuring appropriate problem solving and close cooperation with other functions internally to fulfil customer needs in the most efficient way
• Utilising appropriate IT tools available for a transparent and consistent way of working
• Keeping relevant internal stakeholders aware of all key issues related to specific product, technical and/or service‑related problems
• Actively working on a day‑to‑day basis to ensure optimal and efficient use of resources

What you need to succeed in the role

• 5 years of experience in the marine industry
• Vocational technical or maritime training
• Good level of fluency in English
• Computer literate
