Job summary

IMDA's Policy, Regulation & Competition Development Group seeks a policy professional to assess licensing and regulatory matters across telecom, digital infrastructure and postal sectors. You will analyze license applications, align with government priorities, and support IMDA’s vision to empower the info-communications sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration or Engineering.
• At least 2 years of work experience in telecom, postal, data centre, cloud or related sectors.
• Strong ability to synthesize information across domains and communicate clearly.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review licensing policies and regulatory frameworks for telecom, digital infrastructure, and postal sectors.
• Evaluate license applications from data centre operators and cloud service providers, coordinating with internal IMDA teams and external agencies.
• Implement licensing policies and regulatory frameworks with focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with IMDA teams to calibrate license conditions with strategic objectives and practicality for licensees.
• Serve as contact for industry queries on licensing matters and provide clear guidance.
