Job summary

Ministry of Manpower in Singapore seeks a policy professional to develop and refine labour standards, employment laws, and fair employment practices. You will work to foster workplace harmony, adapt to evolving views of work, and engage diverse stakeholders including unions, employer associations, NGOs, and other government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Tackling workplace discrimination through the implementation of the Workplace Fairness Act.
• Studying workplace trends (e.g., AI in hiring decisions, remote work) and their implications.
• Proposing policies to better support different archetypes of workers (e.g., platform workers, self-employed).
• Reviewing and strengthening core labour laws such as the Employment Act.
• Developing policy tools to achieve intended outcomes (legislation, tripartite guidelines, or other non-legislative means).
