Job summary

DBS Bank is seeking a Platform SRE Engineer to ensure high availability of enterprise data engineering and analytics platforms. You will implement monitoring guidelines, automate toil, and improve resiliency while integrating observability with CI/CD pipelines.

You will work with AppDynamics, ELK, Grafana and OTEL among other tools, focusing on performance, dashboards, and proactive incident management to drive efficiency and reliability across the platform.

Qualifications

University degree in computer science or related field.
Experience with observability and monitoring in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Develop monitoring guidelines and onboarding for applications using observability tools.
Implement observability standards across the enterprise in AppDynamics and other tools.
Automate routine tasks and reporting via APIs and scripting.
Identify and resolve performance issues via traces, logs and metrics.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define performance metrics and monitoring needs.
Create documentation and share knowledge to promote learning.
Design and implement monitoring to track performance and optimize efficiency.
Develop dashboards and reports for actionable insights.
Integrate observability stack with CI/CD pipelines and other DevOps tooling.
Configure and fine-tune alerts to detect issues proactively.
Review monitoring processes to improve effectiveness.
Work with application teams on long-term monitoring strategies.
Create data retention policies and RBAC controls.
Perform maintenance and ensure EOS/EOL is maintained.
