Job summary

DBS Bank is seeking an Application Developer in the Data platform team to design and develop data-centric enterprise solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data pipelines, dashboards and tools, enabling seamless interaction with complex data sets.

Responsibilities span from planning and design to implementation, testing and production support. The role emphasizes cloud-native development, API integration, and continuous improvement within an Agile environment,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related IT field.
• At least 3 years of software development with Java, Spring Boot and Cloud.
• Hands-on cloud native app development, API integration and microservices.
• Strong CI/CD experience with deployment strategies.
• Relational databases experience with SQL.
• Kafka experience is a plus.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Agile SDLC, testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable data pipelines and analytics frameworks.
• Build metadata-driven tools and services for data exploration and ingestion.
• Lead end-to-end SDLC activities from planning to delivery.
• Manage production support, incidents and deployments with IT teams.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners and data scientists to meet user needs.
• Drive continuous improvement of deployment, automation and software quality.
