Job summary

The GMP Group in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to lead daily plant operations and maintenance, ensuring a safe, reliable and efficient manufacturing environment. You will oversee M&E systems, HVAC, electrical, utilities and building services to support uninterrupted production.

Reporting to senior management, you will supervise facility technicians, vendors and contractors, manage budgets and drive cost-saving and continuous improvement while staying compliant with

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities Management, Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant facilities/plant maintenance experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of M&E, HVAC, electrical systems, utilities and preventive maintenance.
• Experience managing technicians, contractors and external vendors.
• Good understanding of WSH/EHS requirements, risk assessment and statutory compliance.
• Experience in CAPEX, OPEX, budgeting and facility improvement projects is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics, cleanroom or other regulated-industry experience is preferred.
• Willing to support emergency breakdowns or after-hours facility issues when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and facility improvement projects to minimize downtime
• Supervise facility technicians, contractors and service vendors, including manpower and work planning
• Ensure compliance with WSH/EHS, statutory requirements, safety standards and company policies
• Monitor facility performance, maintenance costs and service levels, and drive cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, EHS, Quality and other departments to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations
